Our Proud Heritage

Our family had several generations in Mexico and through our entrepreneurial spirit, some family members continue to own and manage dairy farms and petroleum outlets throughout Baja California and Mexico.

Upon legal immigration to the United States in the early 1900s, family members began a variety of employment opportunities including positions with the Los Angeles Herald Examiner. Others in the family chose to proudly serve their new home country in the military. Some were first-hand witnesses to the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, and others rapidly joined the service thereafter. Commitment to the United States armed forces continued through the Vietnam conflict.

José Limón was a founder of modern dance and to this day, The José Limón Dance Foundation advances a vision of dance that speaks of the human experience through performance, preservation and education activities. He was also the original model for Tommy Trojan - the athletic symbol and mascot of the University of Southern California.

Entrepreneurs in the family have opened meat markets, delicatessens, restaurants, coffee houses, and sausage companies. Several family members are published authors and educators at higher learning institutions. Others have served as master electricians and real estate investors.

Regardless of the role or position, our family has always believed in pride for a job well done. Respect for fellow employees and service to the customer are paramount values and core to our approach.
